When I was in Manila recently, I heard the Department of Education Secretary, Bro Armin, spoke about how the education reform needs to start with the very young. In Singapore, there has been a renewed focus on the preschool sector. It is therefore interesting to read this longitudinal study which showed that early childhood brain stimulation has lasting impact.
In this day when information technology devices, such as the iPad, has become so accessible even for the very young, what are some things we need to keep in mind in order to make sure that our children do get the benefit of richer brain stimulation through edtech?
