Virtually Real

I recently saw these two video clips which cleverly blurred the lines of the virtual and the real.

The line between virtual and real might really be thinner than we think. You might have heard about this experiment which showed that muscles can be strengthened just by thinking about it.

So, as we enter a virtual experience which feels ever so real, how real is the learning?

I am wondering how we could exploit this in teaching and learning. Perhaps for character education, there could be a place for immersive virtual role-plays (in the form of forum theatre)?

Your ideas?
