Besides iBooks Author, another cool iBook authoring tool that works on the iPad is Book Creator. It is simple enough even for preschoolers to work with while having enough functions to make a multi-media, multi-touch book.
You can add text, photo, audio and even video files. Once done, you can customise each item by selecting it and then tapping on the “i” icon. One of the fun choices for audio files is hiding the icon in iBook.
Click here to see a sample book that I created called “My ABC of Odd Objects”. Tap around to find the hidden sounds.
From simple picture stories to colourful journals, it must a thrill for anyone to learn through creating using this app. Yes, anyone from the young to the old (and I hope to have the opportunity to create iBooks with seniors in the new year).
