Ability to Pause

It is important that in the hurriedness of life, we need to have the pauses. And to explore possibilities.

All the more so as educators.

We teach from who we are, and so we do need to set aside time to be clear about where we are heading, and also to renew ourselves. When we feel depleted, we might feel that we have nothing fresh nor refreshing to offer.

Learning is a creative process and thus teaching ought to be too. Exploring possibility should then be a vital part of an educator. In the current climate that emphasises creativity and innovation, this aspect is perhaps all the more important.

Here’s an invitation to myself and to you: learn to pause, pause to learn.
